The Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Alava, AJEBASK, has celebrated the XIX Edition of its Entrepreneurship Awards in the Territory. Thus, SDA Factory has stood out in the Innovation category for its disruptive ironing solution against viruses and bacteria. The Minister of Equality, Justice and Social Policies of the Basque Government, Beatriz Artolazabal, presented the award, highlighting that SDA “is an example of that opportunity. In a pandemic situation, it has been able to reinvent itself and be able to offer a product that helps society overcome a situation as critical as the one we are experiencing ”.
The General Director of the company, Iñaki Castresana, has been in charge of collecting the award. In his words of thanks, he stated that “Vitoria, Álava, Euskadi have a manufacturer that is a world reference in small household appliances and ironing solutions, in particular, both for its innovation and for its quality in production”.
Likewise, he added to the large institutional and socio-economic representation of Alava that “the current pandemic has not only allowed us to respond with the first virus and bacteria plate on the market, but has also made many brands look to this capital and are interested in produce here what they were doing in Asia until now ”.
The awards have also highlighted in the Business Career category Laura Mendizabal (Esergui, AVIA); in the Trade category to Naroa Madinabeitia-Ez Dakit; in the Business Revelation category to Mateo-Zarate; in the Family Industry category to Félix Lascaray (LEA); and in the Solidarity category to Iker Martínez of the Covid Araba Association (Makers).
